Castel

Mythical, private, iconic

It was in 1961, the heyday of the happy sixties, that Jean Castel set up the legendary eponymous club on rue Princesse in Paris: Castel.

More than a mythical institution in a private hotel in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a true embassy of Parisian nightlife, Castel has known how to cross the different eras and trends to remain a reference in Paris nightlife.

Internationally renowned, this private club, elitist and unique in the nightlife scene, with access by membership card only, has always been frequented by a host of personalities that many would envy: Pierre Bergé, Serge Gainsbourg, Sacha Distel, Jean Dujardin, Jack Nicholson, Salvador Dali, Johnny Hallyday...

Castel is back to its former glory thanks to a collective of sixteen associates, the Founding Members, personalities with recognised talents. This eclectic tribe has redesigned the club in the mode of pleasures, those of the body and the mind, in a decoration with details that are sometimes impertinent but always elegant and arty, such as the "Wall of Fame" signed by Jean-Philippe Delhomme for the Castel bar reserved for members registered for the year and their friends. So, whether in the Bar de l'Elite or the Foyer on the ground floor, in the Club in the basement, or in the Salon Miroirs, the restaurant on the first floor, and in the Salon Bibliothèque on the second, the nights are set to be daring and terribly Parisian.
