An evocative celebration of Arab cultures in the heart of Paris, Dar Mima is where the famous French comedian Jamel Debbouze’s childhood memories are brought to life. Everyone is invited to enjoy a celebration of Dar Mima’s sunny cuisine guaranteed to leave a smile on even the fussiest of faces. Imagined by the illustrious Parisian interior designer and architect Laura Gonzales, the ornate setting features plush rugs, mixed marble, velvet benches and hand-painted golf leaf frescoes to create a warm and sumptuous feel.
Drawing from Jamel’s charismatic mother’s open-house policy, the emphasis at Dar Mima is on sharing with must-try North African and Middle Eastern dishes including rustic pastilla, slow-simmered, generously spiced tajines, crispy man’ouché flatbread and crunchy fattouche salad.
After the sun slips behind the city’s iconic zinc rooftops, the atmosphere is dialled up with live musicians filling the night air with soul-stirring beats.
